As One Child El Salvador, we believe that child sponsorship has the power to drive change that ripples throughout children’s lives, their families and entire communities.

In times of crisis, children in poverty are especially vulnerable and face uncertain futures. Your monthly gift of $30 will give your sponsored child access to life-changing benefits, like educational support, life skills and… As a sponsor, you’ll be able to see your impact firsthand through letters and photos from your child… Use the search tool to find a child waiting for a sponsor like you!
We pool monthly sponsorship donations for maximum impact in each community. You’ll help your child and other vulnerable children in the community with life-changing things like: clean water, nutrition, education, and sharing God’s love.
Frequently Asked Questions
Only $30 per month per child – Just $1 per day.
You will have the option to choose a yearly or monthly sponsorship. The charge will occur on the anniversary of your sponsorship date. If you have any questions about billing we ask that you call or email and a representative will assist you with your question.
What will the sponsorship money be used for, and how will it benefit the child that I am Sponsoring?
Sponsorship provides stability and sustainability. It ensures the regular operation of the School. The money will be used to support the school and education of your sponsored child. It will be used to pay the salaries of the teachers, assistants, and School Administrator, as well as operational expenses (utilities, telephone, internet, supplies, equipment, a security guard, etc.).
Although money is not going directly to that child, your donation IS making a tangible
difference in his/her life. By sponsoring a particular child, you will be able to make a
personal connection to that child and build a relationship that could change both of your
lives. You will have the opportunity to write to the child, remember them on their Birthday,
and encourage them. We will provide you periodic updates and photos via email throughout the school year about how they are doing in school, family situations, prayer needs, etc.
We have a Coordinator for the Sponsorship program in El Salvador. That person will manage Correspondence. Typically, handwritten letters, birthday wishes, and family photos will be scanned and emailed to the designated Administrative staff at the school, printed out there, and then shared with your sponsored child. You are also welcome to email your correspondence directly to info@onechildelsalvador.org at any time and the Sponsorship Coordinator will forward it to the school staff. At certain times during the school year, our Sponsorship Coordinator will collect cards and/or letters and mail them together with those of other sponsors, or they will be sent when a team goes on a mission trip.
